My โpowder of the momentโ is brilliant for the โmy-skin-but-betterโ look and itโs cheap as chips.ย CEZANNE UV Clear Face Powderย works as a kind of foundation or BB/CC cream finisher that gives anย undetectable blurred โveilโ effect.
As a face powder, it takes away greasy shine and leaves the very faintest โblurโ on my skinโs surface without dulling the skin or making it look dry.ย Because itโs so lightweight, it doesnโt disturb any makeup underneath. What you get is a very sheer layer of subtle blur to the face.ย If you tend to be heavy-handed or have darker than a medium skin tone, youโd want to treadย a little carefully with the application. The powder is pretty forgiving but it will build up to some colour eventually.
Shade P1 Lavender also works as aย complexion enhancer,ย adding the tiniest degree of bright translucency. A quick, gentle sweep over my T-zone and a touch to the under-eye area and the chin.ย It gives a very nice effect. Since shade 02 Natural is a slighter darker than my natural skin tone, it acts as an incredibly subtle contour powder โ although contour isnโt the right word. Foundation and BB make skin one flat colour.ย I lightly sweep it around the edges to add dimension back.
Theย included applicator is pretty cheap and flimsy. I prefer to apply the UV Clear Face Powder using a small brush or a fluffy powder puff. Itย has this amazing effect on makeup that seems to make everything look a little fresher. I find very little wrong with the formula โ itโs weightless, shine-blotting, imperfection-blurring, andย pore-minimising. Those who are ingredient-conscious will be happy to know that the powder is full of powerhouse ingredients (like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and ceramides just to name a few)!ย Itโs also free from fragrance, alcohol, and chemical (organic) UV filters,ย if thatโs something that you look out for.ย Perfect, really.
If you find the packaging a bit lacking onย the design front, youโll be very happy to know that the powder is refillable. The refill pan fits perfectly into Paul & Joeโs and Anna Suiโs refillable powder cases! I have the shade I use most (01 Light) in an oldย Paul & Joe Pressed Face Powder Case.

Thank you so much for introducing this! I have been looking for a good, blurring, talc-free powder for a while now. For around NC20-25 skin, do you recommend the 01 Light or 02 Natural? Is 00 the lightest?
00 and 01 are theyโre the same in terms of lightest/darkest but the former is yellower. Iโm in the same MAC shade range and I use 01.

This is a lot sheerer and more lightweight. Pro Magic Pro Pressed Powder UV isnโt something Iโd use as a setting powder, partly because itโs impractically small.

For touch-ups in the late afternoon/evening when Iโm out and about.
