ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Mild Milk is a Japanese sunscreen milk for sensitive skin.

Made especially for babies and children’s delicate skin, the newly upgraded sunscreen fluid feels smoother on the skin than its previous formula. Newly developed Smooth Protect Technology optimises the dispersion efficiency of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for a smoother, more lightweight feel that won’t leave a white cast behind. Anessa’s signature Aqua Booster EX Technology reacts with the minerals in perspiration and water to create a stronger and more uniform sunscreen film on the skin.

Ideally suited for outdoor playtime, the lightweight milky fluid gives sensitive skin durable protection against UV damage and environmental stressors without sand sticking to the skin. Skin feels comfortable and silky smooth.

  • For the face and body.
  • Very resistant to water and sweat (80 minutes).

14 Comments on ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Mild Milk (2021 Formula)

  1. Does anyone know if this formula will be updated for 2023? This one burns my skin (I have rosacea) and I can’t figure out why because I can use these filters without problems in Euro sunscreens.

  2. I really like this sunscreen, thanks for doing a product page on it. I decided to buy it after seeing it here and am so glad I did!

I found that the gold bottle milk was a bit too harsh on my skin and unfortunately broke me out. This one works great for me- no irritation, redness, itchiness or dryness, and no breakout! It is also very tenacious, which is great in my humid climate.

It is shiny, but to be honest it’s nowhere near as bad as most Euro sunscreens I’ve tried. I’d call it “Shiny by Japanese sunscreen standards”. I’d rank it maybe around Skin Aqua UV super moisture gel in terms of shininess, maybe? It’s easily dealt with by using a mattifying powder. It’s decently transfer-resistant (not quite on the level of the gold bottle Anessa, but far better than any sunscreens I can get locally) I think it might leave a cast on some skintypes, but I do not feel that it’s very noticeable on me.

I have combo normal-oily skin (sometimes it gets dehydrated) and live in Houston, in case anyone wanted to know.

  3. What is the percentage of zinc and titanium in this? And what size are the zinc and titanium nano particles? I am looking for >35mm nano particle. Thank you!

  4. Hi Ratzilla, what difference between old version and 2021 version? Is new version greasy, shiny and not suit for oily acne prone skin similar to old version?

  5. Does this 2021 Mild Milk still feel greasy/oily on skin like the 2020 formula? I’m debating between getting this and the regular 2020 Perfect UV Milk.

    • I’d say if you have oily skin, skip the Mild Milk all together because it is alcohol free therefore it doesn’t set better compared to others that have it. I tried the 2020 version and it is shiny, greasy, streaky and ghostly to my face. I’d stick to the Gold Skincare Milk, 2020 version of course.

  6. Are there any un-biased websites to look up reviews of Japanese skincare products, similar to MakeupAlley? Japanese-language only is fine

    • Truly unbiased review website? I’d say no. There’re plenty of beauty community sites such as @cosme (which actually owns MakeupAlley) and LIPS but they’re heavily biased since major brands give these sites thousands of free products each month to give away to readers for reviews and social media features. If you wish to only see reviews from people who purchased the product, you’ll need to carefully sift through them all since these kinds of info is up to the reviewer’s discretion.
