I’m seriously convinced the real reason why so many people outside of Japan love this is because they haven’t tried many cleansing oils so they don’t have much to compare.
This is one of many very popular products that gets lots of raves on various forums and blogs that I seriously don’t understand why.
I personally prefer lighter textured cleansing oil and this is very thick. In fact, the thickest one I have tried. This isn’t the main reason why DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is on my Worst Pick list though.
It left quite an oily residue behind yet at the same time, it also dried out my skin. Ironic, eh? This didn’t remove makeup well either since traces of eye makeup were always left behind. Considering cleansing oils are makeup removers, this is just not acceptable in my book. To top it off, it clogged my pores even though it’s my standard routine to use a cleansing foam afterward.
What an awful cleansing oil! I didn’t even finish my small 70ml trial-sized bottle.
