PRIVACY UV Face Powder 50 SPF50+ PA++++ is a translucent Japanese powder sunscreen that sets makeup.

The translucent loose powder features maximum broad spectrum UV protection in a gentle, additive-free formula that is safe for sensitive skin. It contains a blend of hyaluronic acid, collagen, and vitamin C derivative to keep the skin hydrated.

The powder absorbs excess sebum to reduce shine and sets makeup without feeling or looking dry on the skin. It can be used as a makeup setting powder, or anytime during the day to take away shine and touch-up sun protection.

  • For the face.
  • Resistant to sebum.
  • Removable with a face wash.

How much percentage of zinc oxide is in this?

Hi Ratzilla,

Just wondering if you think there’s any point in applying sunscreen early in the morning like 6.30am under makeup and not reapplying? There’s minimal UV in the morning commute to work, and being outside at lunchtime for a few minutes, I’m unable to reapply over makeup and lunchtime is when UV rays are the strongest. If it’s been applied in the morning, wouldn’t the UV protection not be active by noon? If so, isn’t it a bit pointless to apply in morning?

And do you believe that using UV powder like this product is sufficient touchup?

Thank you!

Thanks for your reply! 🙂
Do you have any articles or posts you could link me supporting the argument that it’s 2 hours accumulated sun exposure? I haven’t yet been able to find a definitive answer to that.

Do you recommend any of these PA++++ powders? I’m using and loving Allie Perfect Alpha S, but it has a fairly shiny finish, and I’d like a SPF powder for touch-ups.

I too, would be interested to hear your thoughts on the sunscreen powders…any favorites? I have tried some of the US versions, like Peter Thomas Roth, for ex., and found it to have a chalky, dry, clumpy finish :/

Thanks to you both for your input. I am mainly looking for a SPF touch-up as opposed to a setting powder…if I am out and need more sun protection, etc.

I have similar experience with American brand UV powders, they are all dry, chalky and looks cakey on the face. I’ve tried Peter Thomas Roth, ColorScience and Mineral Fusion, but they have all been disappointing. Although the self dispensing travel brush is quite convenient for touch-ups, I must admit. I’ve also tried to use mineral foundations that has a high SPF rating as setting powders, but again, they all look cakey on my face. I tried Korres wild rose mineral foundation and Physicians Formula airbrushing and BB pressed powder from the drugstore.
