Skincare Snapshot, March 2019

Triggered by the IPL treatment sessions I’ve had recently, I’ve kicked off my skin care regimen into full-gear. More specifically, I’ve started using Retin-A (again). The gold standard for anti-ageing (and acne) that is proven by decades of scientific studies. Really long-time readers might remember that I used it regularly for years in my late teens to early-mid 20s.

I’ve only started to incorporate Retin-A a couple weeks ago but I don’t expect to see much difference. After all, I’m not using it to treat any existing skin issues — I’m banking on its longterm benefits.

Paul & Joe Beaute The Oil: I add a drop or 2 of it to the watery lotion.

Biore UV Athlizm Skin Protect Essence SPF50+ PA++++: I’m knee-deep in testing new sunscreens at the moment so what I use changes day to day. This was what I used at time of writing.

I was wondering if Cow brand mutenka cleansing oil and the foam leave a residue after you wash them off..? It is really hard to find cleansing products that are not drying, but don’t leave a residue, either.

I love when you do these monthly snapshots – especially since you’re trying so many different products! Have you found the SEKKISEI lotion effective enough to keep in your routine, or will you be rotating it out for other lotions?
