Specially formulated for ultra-hot and humid weather, the newly revamped sunscreen gel better adheres to the skin than its predecessor released in 2020. Newly improved “Block Veil formula forms a UV-protective veil that stays put on hot, sweaty skin in high humidity. Has anyone used the new version of this sunscreen yet ???
No, it is not available for international (outside of Japan) consumers yet. I really want to try the 2023 version since its predecessor is my fave in terms of texture and finish despite it stinging my eyes!
I wonder why they didn’t change the label in this bottle because their white super moisture series already have a new label and outer plastic case. How can we tell based on the packaging which one have the new formula?
They did, albeit very slightly. The outer packaging isn’t the same. The Japanese texts in the round circle labels say different things. The red label where it says “new” also looks noticeably different (it now has additional Japanese text that explains what’s new about it). The back of the bottle and outer packaging also have different text.
Also, keep in mind that this product is made for the domestic Japanese market where this wouldn’t be an issue. What’s stock in stores in Japan are the most current versions – old (aka discontinued) products are reduced for clearance. They don’t mix together on the shelves or are sold at the same price.
Hi, where is this available, please? The ebay link shows 0 results for this 2023 gold version. I can’t find it on Amazon Japan either. Thanks!
