SKIN AQUA Tone Up UV Essence is a lavender Japanese sunscreen that colour-corrects dullness.
The sunscreen is renewed to feature a new skin-friendly, slightly acidic formula that is gentler to the skin than its previous formula yet has the same watery fresh texture. It is enhanced with blue-pink pigments to neutralise yellow cast to brighten skin tone. A blend of hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, “Pure Nuance Complex” (passion fruit, hydrolyzed prune, and chestnut rose) replenishes skin with moisture while boosting its clarity. Microfine “Strobe Pearl” particles further help to brighten and luminise skin.
Mineral oil-free. Paraben-free. Alcohol-free. It protects the skin from daily UV exposure while instantly improving its clarity. Skin looks brighter and more luminous, and feels refreshed, hydrated, and smooth. Ideally suited for everyday wear.

This sunscreen looks so good on my fair and cool toned skin. I bought one at a 7 eleven in Tokyo and I’m glad I did.
On the Dokodemo site it lists the ingredients as the one for the old formula. Do you know if it’s actually selling the new one or the old one?

I think the new formula is not as mat as before! I dont think I like it now!
This used to be my favorite sunscreen up until recently this tone up version released. My trusted source now only sells this version…I have concern about the lavender tint. It’s supposed to be yellow canceling, which a lot of Asians like. I already have fair skin, and I love my yellow undertone, I fear the lavender tint will give me a gray ashy look, plus making my slightly pink cheeks look more pink and appear more irritated. Would you say that might be a legit concern?
It’s pretty impossible. Even proper purple colour-correcting makeup primers will not completely cancel out yellow tone and emphasis redness, let alone a sunscreen that is so sheerly pigmented.
