ALLIE Chrono Beauty Tone Up UV is a radiance-boosting Japanese eco-friendly sunscreen gel.
The sustainable sunscreen gel contains intense microfine pearl particles to amplify light reflection for a bright, glowing finish. In addition to less plastic material in packaging, it features a new eco-friendly formula that is ocean-safe¹. Resistant to water, sweat, and friction, it creates a durable yet highly flexible protective film that adheres to skin without transferring or rubbing off. Hyaluronic acid keeps the skin moisturised.
It protects against the sun and prevents dust, pollen, and PM2.5 particles from sticking to the skin while imparting a radiant and glowing finish.

Both allie uv facial gel and tone up uv are resistant to sebum? Which is more long lasting?
Hi ratzilla, allie uv extra gel wasn’t suit for me,it was greasy and breaked me out. Is allie tone up suit for oily and very acne prone skin?
How do you tell if a product is resistant to sebum?
It would clearly say so for Japanese products.
I was shocked to see that Allie contains Mexoryl XL, which is a proprietary sunscreen filter by L’Oreal! Did L’Oreal perhaps purchase Kanebo or Allie from Kao?
No, definitely not.
I think the patent held by L’Oreal has expired for quite some time already so anyone is free to make products using it. A patent is valid for 20 years maximum and cannot be renewed, and Mexoryl XL has been around for more than 30 years already.
From what I gather after lots of digging, L’Oreal currently has valid patents to sunscreen compositions comprising of a blend of UV filters that include Mexoryl SX/XL. L’Oreal owns the Mexoryl trademark so other companies can’t use the name, but the ingredient itself (in this case, drometrizole trisiloxane) is no longer “theirs”.
