Hada-Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Bubble Face Wash (also known as Hada-Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Bubble Face Wash) is a Japanese cleansing foam that keeps skin hydrated.
The self-foaming pump dispenses a meringue-like foamy lather to gently cleanse skin. It features an additive-free, slightly acidic formula with “Super Hyaluronic Acid” (sodium acetyl hyaluronate) that can retain twice the moisture of regular hyaluronic acid to better protect the skin against dryness.

Hi Ratzilla, thx for your update for all of the reformulation that happened in Japanese skincare. This facial wash is one of the best actually. However, since 2016 reformulation I kinda dissapointed that they added BHT and Cocamide DEA in their ingredients because in some recent research both are known as carcinogenic (2B category IARC for Cocamide DEA and tumor promoter for BHT). I really hope they reformulate it again and remove both ingredients from the facial wash’s list
The good (or bad… depending on your perspective) thing about beauty products in Japan is that you can definitely count on reformulation (or sometimes discontinuation) happening sooner rather than later to every single product. Nothing is exempted, even bestsellers.
Hi Ratzilla, could you tell me, please if is it suitable as a second step cleanser after oil cleansers in a two step evening washing routine? Will it completely remove all oil residue?
And also, I think it’s not designed for makeup and sunscreen removal?
Hi Ratzilla! Do you know whether the tube version Gokujyun foam cleanser, not this pump bubble wash one, also has slightly acidic formula? I couldn’t find the description of the tube one in this site. I am sorry if I missed it though.
