4 Comments on Hada-Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion [DISCONTINUED]

  1. Thank you very much for the detailed information. It’s really helpful.
I received mine today from Hong Kong and discovered this site when researching if the product could be fake or not and what the manufacture/expiration dates are. According to the seller is supposed to expire in 2017 and I was relieved to see that the packaging matches the 2014 version. I read somewhere here that there are no such dates written on the packaging but on the bottom of the bottle I found 4J2, which I interpreted as 2014/01/02. Would you confirm, please? Thanks!

    • Dates would never appear that way on packaging in Japan. I’ve just taken a quick look at the bottoms of a few Hada-Labo Gokujyun bottles I’ve laying around, and they’re “3EB”, “1J4F” , “3I7”, “3B8” — not dates, no matter how you read them.

      • Thank you very much for the clarification. Those numbers simply matched perfectly with the general 3 years expiration period and the expiry date given by the seller. Nevermind, judging by the picture of Maeda Atsuko from the recent Hada Labo commercial it seems that I’ve bought the current version.
This was my first purchase of Asian product and the deal from Cosme-De was the best I could find online. Have you heard of it? Too bad that I haven’t discovered your blog earlier (would probably avoid buying from Hong Kong) but on the other hand my research was the reason to find it, so I am really glad. Have spent the whole night reading your articles.
Keep up the good work! It’s highly appreciated.

  2. Thank you for this useful post! I know you’re not a fan of the product, but is there any chance you could post some information about the Shirojyun lotion (rich type)?
