Hi, how are you? I just recently started reading about Japanese beauty products because of their supposed lightening effect. I live in Brazil and due to the sun I have quite a few freckles and a constant tan โ I am thinking of buying the Hada Labo or Sekissei Whitening lineโฆ The Orbis-U also has page on their website which shows some really dramatic effects on freckles (http://www.orbis.co.jp/small/6102010/)โฆ Have you personally used any whitening products, and if so, is there any you could recommend? Please let me know. Thank you so much.
Yes, do see my reviews (and also read my comments) for some of them.
Hi, how are you? I couldnโt find any of the Hada Labo or Sekissei products that were reviewed (in the case of their Whitening line)โฆ I know that both their lotions won a cosme award, so Iโll probably buy both lines and use one during the day and one during the nightโฆ I just hope they work! My skin looks really dull and so I hope it can start to look brighterโฆ Sofina also has some whitening products, do you think they might also be good?
Specifc product names would be helpful, Hada-Labo and Sofina both have several whitening lines. I personally do not care for Sofina or Sekkisei products in general.
The only Hada-Labo that has won an @cosme award is the Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion, and that has no whitening properties in it.
Hi, how are you? Yes, I like Biore Bright Face for sun protection. I was thinking of buying the entire Hada Labo Whitening line (these: http://hadalabo.com.my/en/whitening-care.html)โฆ The only reputable Japanese brands I know that have an entire line for whitening care are Sofina, Sekkisei, and Orbis-U (as well as Hada Labo)โฆ Do you know which one has the best reviews for their whitening line in Japan? Please let me know. Thank you. Also, I saw your review for the Tonymoly Whitening serum, but it has been discontinued. Do you know of another Korean/Japanese product that has a similar effect?
The notion that itโs best to use the same brand/line is just marketing. I would pick and choose individual products based on your needs and budget.
A shame about the alcohol in this one, that tends to be pretty harsh on my dehydrated skin. Iโd really appreciate seeing some more products that contain dipotassium glycyrrhizate if thatโs possible, Iโm looking to incorporate this ingredient somewhere in my regimen. Thanks for maintaining this site by the way, although it is very dangerous for my wallet ๐
Iโve just added a new tag for Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, so do check the end of the post, under โIngredient(s)โ โ thereโre 190+ products in this site that contain it.
Awesome! Thanks a ton.
