Best Pick: SANA Namerakahonpo Emulsion NA

Budget-Friendly Japanese Moisturiser Milk With Soy Isoflavones

I can’t think of many other budget moisturisers that are this light, yet this effective. I use about a penny-sized amount (warm between the palms, and then gently press it into the skin!) alone, layered over a serum, layered beneath a face cream — it’s a brilliant, versatile companion to other skincare.

Those with oilier skin may like the SANA Namerakahonpo Emulsion NA purely on its own. It is non-sticky and it doesn’t sit heavily on the skin but is still moisturising enough to hit the spot. Those with drier skin may like this as a simple moisturise boost underneath a cream. It is lightweight and absorbs perfectly without residue, so it doesn’t feel you’re overloading the skin at all. I’d say though, this moisturiser really shines (figuratively!) with normal to combination skin. It’s moisturising enough for the slightly drier areas and refreshingly light enough on the t-zone.

Its ingredients list is relatively unfussy — it features Namerakahonpo’s signature soy isoflavones, soy protein, and squalane (soy-derived) to tackle dryness. It’s a good option for people on a tight budget who would like a lightweight, non-sticky moisturising fluid that will hydrate in a straightforward way. A 150ml bottle is just ¥850 from Amazon Japan. Its 130ml refill pouch is ¥573 HERE.
