Felice Towako’s FTC UV Perfect Cover Cream Premium 50. That’s sure a mouthful! I don’t understand why Japanese companies like to give their products ridiculously long names that no one can remember correctly. FTC actually stands for Felice Towako Cosme so if you were to spell everything out, the name is even longer!
I have a skincare routine that works well for me so I try my best to stick with it daily but let’s face it, life happens. Those who know me well know that I’m not a morning person at all. More often than not, I have trouble getting up in the morning. The last thing I want to do when I’m already tired, cranky, annoyed and under time constraint is to fuss with my face more than I need to.
This Japanese BB cream came to me as a recommendation from my dear makeup artist friend after hearing me lament again about yet another restless night. I’ve never liked any of the BB creams I’ve tried previously (consisted of mostly Korean varieties) but he assured me that this is different from others. He was right!
It keeps my skin looking hydrated all day long without feeling heavy or greasy. The shade blends perfectly into my skin and it has just the right amount of coverage yet still sheer enough for me to quickly apply with my hands when I’m in a rush. I can layer more if needed and it doesn’t look cakey either. The finish is very skin-like and it stays put without the need to set it with powder. It doesn’t emphasize flaky skin either!
I use it by itself after washing my face in place of my Japanese lotion, serum, moisturiser, sunscreen, and foundation. This doesn’t replace my normal routine in the morning but for times when 10-15 minutes preening time seem like eternity, this is a lifesaver. This one tube does the job of so many products and it really perks up tired skin.
